How to get and use the "Blacksmith" Skill.

In Toram Online you may have noticed the Armor and Weapon drops are untradeable, and you can see this in the item’s description in your bag, yet you always see players shouting claiming to sell weapons and armor via trade for Spina and engage in a transaction with other players. This is possible because they made that equipment themselves by gathering up the materials and creating that item without the aid of the in-game Blacksmith. There is such a skill as the Blacksmith skill where after learning it you become a full-fledged Blacksmith yourself. Having the Blacksmith skills can really come in handy. You can process materials and craft weapons and armor without the need to go back to Sofya City and paying the Blacksmith to do it for you. The more you upgrade your Blacksmith skills, the better the quality of your equipment will be.

You can acquire the Blacksmith skills in Sofya City by speaking to the Librarian Lilulu in the Library. For those who don’t know, you can find the Library by following the wide-open, long path from the entrance all the way down to the Government Office.

Turn right towards the Blacksmith and Synthesist buildings and go a little further down towards the entrance with the Library Book stand.

Once inside the Library speak to the Librarian Lilulu by pressing the “action” button.

Click on “Learn Skills”.

Click on “[Learn Skills: Others]”

Click the “Learn” button for “Smith Skills”. I don't have that button available because I already have that skill. You are now an official Blacksmith. Wait a minute though, that does not mean you can walk out and start making equipment, you still need to do a few things.

Click on your “Menu” button and click on “Character”.

Click on “Skills”.

Click on “Smith Skills”. I am aware you see "EX Skills" we will get to that. First, "Smith Skills".

Here you will see a skill tree starting with “Refine Equipment”. You will need to upgrade this up to level 5 in order to unlock the “Create Equipment” skill.

Now click on the “Create Equipment” skill and upgrade that to level 1 (You can level it up as much as you want). This allows you to create weapons and armor.

You may also want to upgrade your “Craft” Skill so you can craft (process) materials anywhere by yourself without having to go to the Blacksmith. This will allow you to “Process” item drops into things like Metal, Wood, Cloth, and Beast without needing to pay a Spina fee. These items will be needed if you plan on crafting weapons and armor so the “Craft” skill is highly recommended.

There is also an “Anvil” skill which increases your proficiency. The more you level up your Anvil the better and more higher level equipment you can make.

Now close it up and go back to your “Skills” menu in your “Character” menu section. You will now see a new button called “Use EX Skills”, click on it.

In that menu you will now see a “Smith Skills” button. Click on that.

Now here you will see your Blacksmith skills that you acquired after leveling up the skills from your Blacksmith skill tree. In your “Craft” menu button you will see your bag. If you click on an item like “Torn Cloth” and process it into “Cloth” and you can use it later to craft armor. These items will be used to fulfill an “Ingredient” list to make a certain item like a sword or staff or a certain armor. The “Refine Equipment” skill will allow you to do just that, refine armor and weapons to make them stronger. The “Create Equipment” skill button menu is what you need to create your armor and weapons.

Once you click on it you will see a list just like you would if you were speaking to the Blacksmith with all the weapons by category and armor. You will see One-Handed swords, Two-Handed swords, Bow, Bowgun, Staff and more.

When you click on these categories you will see specific equipment, like in this case, a “Gladius” sword. When you click on that you will now see the “Recipe for Creation” which shows you the items you need to make that specific weapon. These items can be bought from other players or farmed by hunting specific monsters that provide those item drops.

Now you know how to create equipment using the Blacksmith skill. Some people like to create a character specifically for this skill and pour in all their stats into improving their Blacksmith skills. Now you have items that ARE tradeable and can be sold in exchange for Spina with other players. The more equipment you craft, the higher your Blacksmith level increases. Just be sure of how you want to go about it. Do you want to create your own equipment, or do you want to sell them? If you want to become a seller, then you may want to create another character specifically for that skill.

I am also working on a list of drops from monsters to help players find all those items with ease. Some people know where to find most or all of those items thanks to online forums, however, I plan to refine that list by providing a description of each item, include a map, and pictures of the monsters that drop those items.
